The dates listed below are key 2018-19 deadlines and milestones for the digital SAT, PSAT 10, and PSAT 8/9. If your school is part of a state- or district-wide contract, your dates and deadlines may differ. Contact your state or district assessment office with any questions.

SAT

Schools administer the digital SAT in March or April. Here are the key dates:

  • March 6: Standard testing
  • March 6–19: Testing for select accommodations
  • April 9–11: Standard testing
  • April 9–22: Testing for select accommodations

January 15

  • Deadline to submit accommodations request and documentation

Late January

  • Receive instructions for accessing AIR systems
  • Review student data in the Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE)
  • Training opens

  • Deadline to complete technical readiness evaluation and install the secure browser
  • Create TA user accounts for proctors
  • Deadline for coordinators and proctors to complete test administration training

PSAT 10 and PSAT 8/9

There are three testing windows for PSAT-related assessments in the 2018-19 school year:

  • September 24, 2018–January 25, 2019: PSAT 8/9
  • February 25–March 29, 2019: PSAT 10 and PSAT 8/9
  • April 8–26, 2019: PSAT 10 and PSAT 8/9

August 28, 2018

  • Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE) opens to test coordinators
  • Training opens

  • Deadline to submit initial bulk registration file if testing the week of October 8. The deadline to submit final updates successfully is two days before test day.

September 20, 2018

  • Deadline to submit initial bulk registration file if testing the week of October 15. The deadline to submit final updates successfully is two days before test day.

September 24, 2018

  • Digital PSAT 8/9 testing opens

September 27, 2018

  • Deadline to submit initial bulk registration file if testing the week of October 22. The deadline to submit final updates successfully is two days before test day.

December 2018

  • PSAT 8/9 score delivery begins (exact timing varies by test day)
